Top Five Ways to Kindle an Autumn Harvest Romance

1.  Fall Fantasy Foliage Hike with Passionate Picnic

In certain geographic areas, fall is truly a beautiful time of year. The summer heat has faded away but jeans and a sweater are still adequate protection against the elements. The trees fire up a spectacular display of color as they go dormant, exiting for the season in blazing glory. Take your sweetie and enjoy a last outdoor hoorah before the chill of winter sets in. Now is a great time for hiking and biking. The weather is cool and the scenery plentiful. Fill a picnic basket with hearty fare and head out! Just remember to pick a private spot when you spread out that picnic blanket.

2.  Sexy Snuggling on the Hearth

Is there anything more enticing than a roaring fire on a chilly day? Yes! How about snuggling with your honey in front of said fire? The warmth from the flames will keep your skin toasty until you create your own heat! A hot toddy wouldn’t hurt either.

3.  Hot Harvest Hayride

The quintessential hayride has all the romantic elements – low lighting, soft cushiony space (hopefully), close quarters and layered clothing to hide your forays into the intimate space of a companion. Such naughty flirting is bound to build the anticipation for an intimate encounter…later!

4.  Frisky Football Game

When there is a snap in the air, sports fans turn to the snap of the football. Mix it up one weekend. Instead of the couch snuggle during the game, take a blanket and some hot drinks to the stadium. No one will ever guess what’s going on underneath the covers!

5.  Alluring Apple Bobbing

Don’t leave the apple bobbing to the kiddies. Instead of the traditional bobbing in the water, hang the apple from a string and go at it on opposite sides with your chosen target. This activity presents many opportunities for intimate contact.

What do you find romantic this time of year? Let me know in your comment!

Here is a peek at my newest release His Need, Her Desire.

His Need, Her Desire Blurb

Tabitha Quinn didn’t come to Hawaii to be spanked. But when vacationing businessman Marcus Granger saves her from drowning, they begin an affair that moves from the beach to the bedroom and straight into an experience Tabitha’s never had before: dark-haired, blue-eyed Marcus is a dominant, and spanking is just the beginning. The sex is intense, the emotion even more so, until they both must decide if this is a holiday fling or the real thing.

His Need, Her Desire Excerpt

Tabitha’s smile grew wide. She held out her hand. “Really, I can’t thank you enough for your help.”

He held her hand in a firm grasp a shade longer than necessary, but Tabitha didn’t mind. She enjoyed looking at him. Though he had probably shaved that morning, an attractive shadow highlighted his chin and strong jawline.

“I’m glad I was in the right place.”

Tabitha released his hand. “So, where’s your sister?”

“My sister? How did you know?”

Tabitha bit her lip. “I’m sorry to say that I eavesdropped a bit. I was sitting near you at dinner last evening.”

“Eavesdropping? That seems extremely naughty.”

Tabitha was caught off guard by the tone of his voice. He was teasing, and yet, there was a thread of authority running through his words. Tabitha tried to suppress a shiver. “Well, sometimes I just can’t help myself.”

Marcus appeared disarmed by her honesty. “Are you traveling with anyone?”

Tabitha gave him a playful look. “Why do you ask?”

Marcus smiled. “Because I’m interested in knowing the answer, of course.”

“Well, if you’re thinking about ditching my body at sea, I’ve got six family members waiting for me in my hotel room upstairs. If you’re thinking about asking me to dinner, there is no reason why you shouldn’t.” Tabitha amazed herself. Where is this coming from? This man brought something out in her. She’d bet those broad shoulders and sexy smile had enticed many a woman.

He laughed. “You have nothing to worry about. I never use force, unless of course, it is desired.”

“Oh?” The truth burst into her mind. It suddenly became clear that he was fishing around a bit. There had been several hints here and there, but it seemed like he might be looking for a certain sort of woman. No, he couldn’t be. I’m imagining things.

“It’s true. I would be pleased if you joined me for dinner this evening.”

Tabitha did a mental fist pump in her mind. Woohoo! Dinner with Gorgeous Guy. “What did you have in mind?”

“Would you be averse to allowing me to surprise you?”

Tabitha hesitated then plunged ahead. “Not at all. It’s clear you have excellent taste.”

Marcus raised an eyebrow. “What makes you say that?”

“Well, we both dined at the same restaurant last night, and I thought it was terrific.”

“Ah, well, my meal was less than pleasant unfortunately.” His tone indicated the subject was off-limits.

“Perhaps it was the company and not the food?”

Marcus laughed. “You are undoubtedly right and surprisingly honest.”

“My mother would say that my tongue is quicker than my brain.”

The corners of Marcus’s mouth lifted. “I’ve always been a fan of quick tongues.”

It’s hard to say what exactly would be my Go-To Autumn Romance book. When I think real hard about it, I would have to say it has a sexy, strong, determined male that when it comes to love is just lost. Then there has to be a woman who is usually in need of help or needs to know what love and family is. Together they heal each other and love turns out to be their greatest gift. I also love a happy ending at this time of year, usually where the epilogue has them starting their own family to love and cherish. Oh….and definitely HOT loving too!

I love the burst of colors! The fall earth tone colors are very festive and beautiful. I am lucky to live where you can see the seasons change. Unfortunately, at this moment I can’t recall where autumn was a major focus of a story. It has no stand out drama. I love reading any time so the season doesn’t matter.

What a wonderful hop! Thanks for the opportunity to share.

I already receive your newsletter. Take care.

  15. Wow, great blog post! There are so many things that make fall (and winter) a wonderful time for romance. Chief among those is the need to get closer to your honey to share some body heat! But there’s just something about the beautiful transitioning of fall colors that’s almost magical. Just a simple walk outside where you can experience that magic up close can be very romantic.

I so enjoyed reading your excerpt! Can’t wait to read more! Snbgrules@gmail.com
