The ABCs of Erotica

WeLoveNYPlease join me in welcoming Louisa Bacio to the blog! She’s here today to talk about a great anthology put together by authors to raise fund for Hurriane Sandy. I read Louisa’s story – it’s spicy!

BDSM in Brooklyn

Although I’ve never lived in New York, the city’s part of my blood. My father was born in the Bronx, and my grandparents passed through Ellis Island, on their travels from Italy. When I heard about the call for stories for an anthology to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy, I had to take part.

The ever-sexy and prolific Trinity Blacio sent me a message with the submission guidelines. The stories had to be set in New York, around Valentine’s Day. One of the most iconic images – for me – is represented on the cover: “I Love NY.” My story “BDSM in Brooklyn” takes that visual concept and twists it a little bit.

Often a story comes to me in pieces of dialogue and snapshots of scenery. When you read it, the pacing is hard, fast and sexy, and then suddenly it shifts. The action grinds to a halt. Sometimes love is rough and tumble with spanking and bondage, but sometimes – you have to admit – we like the slow and soft, too. “BDSM in Brooklyn” encompasses both, and hopefully leaves readers with a satisfying ending.

We LOVE New York: A Romance Anthology to Raise Funds for Hurricane Sandy Relief was conceived of by best-selling erotic romance author Trinity Blacio as she watched the devastation pounding the City that Never Sleeps.

And she wanted to do something for the city that has inspired so many love stories, and made so many people fall in love with her. She teamed up with Lori Perkins, the Publisher of Riverdale Avenue Books, and an award-wining anthologist, to create a way to give back and rebuild.

Riverdale Avenue Books will be donating 10% of all revenues collected from the sale of this anthology to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

Available via Amazon, ARe and other eRetailers.

Louisa Bacio is the author of six erotic novels, including the paranormal series The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf, and numerous steamy short stories.

Bacio enjoys soaking up the sun in Southern California, and spending time with her family. In addition to writing and editing, Bacio teaches college courses in English, journalism, film studies and popular culture.
