Holiday Erotica
I’ve written an erotic novella for Christmas and even before I published, I noticed a number of works centered on Halloween and even Thanksgiving that got me thinking on the idea. With all that red fur and the need to snuggle up for warmth, Christmas seems a natural for erotic plots.
When I gave it some thought, holidays and celebrations combine two things that might lead to the need for an erotic break with some spicy reading. On one hand, holidays are a time for family and celebration. On the other, family and celebration with all the planning and attendant fuss can necessitate a serious mental health break. What better way to clear your mind and recharge your batteries than with a naughty novel?
Holiday themes really lend themselves to erotica. For Halloween, you have costume parties of all sorts, which can lead to mistaken identities and opportunities for anonymous interludes. When more anonymous, people can let be more bold and let their desires flow freely. I can see many promising plots here.
I’ll admit, Thanksgiving didn’t immediately leap to mind as a source of erotic inspiration. But then I saw the book Spanksgiving and I thought to myself, maybe that’s what happens if the turkey is too dry? Or maybe, if Auntie Mabel is too overbearing at the holiday table, the neighbor takes her away into another room for some light bondage? I started to see possibilities everywhere.
Now, when you get to Christmas, well the prospects seem endless. All sorts of mutual gift giving occurs throughout the month. I’ve seen more titles with people doing naughty things with candy canes than I thought possible. Sometimes, I am humbled by the imaginations of my fellow writers. There are lots of wonderful holiday names like Holly and Ivy. Santa likes make lists of the naughty and the nice. Even grown-ups like to sit in Santa’s lap. Perhaps too it is the overall incorruptibility of the childhood Santa icon. It seems like there is nothing people enjoy more than seeing a little perversion around something normally so very innocent. So, dear readers, I give you a sincere Seasons Greetings and bid you to fill up your eReaders with sexy holiday reads for your enjoyment.
What is your favorite thing to read at the holidays?
*****
Here is my holiday erotic novella – Santa’s Backdoor Baby.
Holly is home from college for the holidays and working as Santa’s elf at the local mall. She’s embraced her intensely blossoming sexuality and is looking for adventure. When fellow elf Jack asks Holly to have dinner with him and she agrees, the sparks are flying already. After dinner, it’s time for dessert!
Co-worker Nick plays Santa and as he gets to know Holly, Santa wants to play, too. After seeing Holly and Jack together, he just can’t resist taking her for himself. Nick makes Holly realize she has a new passion for backdoor play. In the end, Holly entices both Santa and the elf and finds a very hot way to please them both—at the same time!

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks these things at times of the year. I sing “perverted” carols while the boyfriend is happily humming along to a random song and get dirty looks from him. It is all in fun however. 🙂
