My First Halloween

The first Halloween that I remember was when I was about three. My mother had sewn the costume for me herself. It was a clown costume with elastic at the wrists and ankles made out of a crinkly fabric. She had put yarn pom-poms on the front and trim. In short, it was not only a great costume but also a labor of love. She made a matching yarn wig and painted up my face.

I remember the excitement of darting around in the dark. Both my mother and father escorted me. I had a huge bag with a giant yellow smiley face on the side. After running from house to house for what seemed like hours but was surely only a short time, we adjourned to a local fast food restaurant and had something to eat.

These memories of my first Halloween are burned into my mind. I can play the images over and over – the delightful costume, the heavy candy-filled bag, the hordes of children, the laughter, the excitement, staying up late, being outside at night, the brightness of the lights in the restaurant and being too keyed up to settle down to sleep once we got home. It’s a standout positive experience from my childhood.

What is your favorite Halloween memory?

My newest release is His Need, Her Desire.

Tabitha Quinn didn’t come to Hawaii to be spanked. But when vacationing businessman Marcus Granger saves her from drowning, they begin an affair that moves from the beach to the bedroom and straight into an experience Tabitha’s never had before: dark-haired, blue-eyed Marcus is a dominant, and spanking is just the beginning. The sex is intense, the emotion even more so, until they both must decide if this is a holiday fling or the real thing.

His Need, Her Desire is available for preview and purchase on the following sites.

  2. Our favorite Halloween moment happened when I was four. Mathair and my aunt had taken me and my cousin trick or treating and we knocked on a house that happened to contain a large pitbull. When the dog charged at the screen door, Mathair took off across the street, past the field and was well on her way to Miami, leaving me there to contend with the dog. Luckily the owner had it on a leash, but I never fail to remind her about it every Halloween and push that guilt trip on her for leaving her baby behind. LOL
